Where to start!
Imagine enjoying a swim in the refreshing waters of Laguna Bay, relaxing on the warm sand, then, after a short walk, partaking of a delicious lunch at the restaurant of your choice. There are many to choose from along Hastings Street. Walk off dessert with a leisurely stroll window shopping or along the beach.
Raise the activity level with a walk through the Noosa National Park. Choose a half hour walk or explore the area on one of the longer walks available. Whichever track you choose the views will be spectacular and the wildlife varied and abundant. All trails are well sign posted.
For a change of pace and a different perspective, take the ferry to the Marina at Tewantin. More fine dining opportunities await, or choose market day for a more varied shopping experience.
Drive or walk up Viewland Drive to the lookout in the National Park for a fantastic view overlooking Noosa, Tewantin, the north shore and Mt Cooroy in the distance. If you go in the late afternoon or evening you will be staring into the sun so best to go before noon.
Nothing will prepare you for the sights and sounds (or lack thereof) on this boat ride up the Noosa River. Glide through mirrored waters reflecting the trees and sky, the only sound being the quiet throbbing of the boat’s motor which has the effect of reducing conversation to a whisper. The driver of the boat provides a commentary as you progress through the waterways, negotiating shallow lakes and sandbars. Be on the lookout for wildlife in the trees and in the water but be careful not to shout when you spot something, give fellow adventurers the opportunity to see them also.
Enjoy the morning tea and picnic lunch provided during a relaxing, informative and interesting day.
